Questions, answered
What's free to do in Fargo this week?
26 events on the Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo calendars from Nov 1–7 are confirmed free by their hosts, mostly at the libraries (8 from Moorhead Public Library (LARL), 6 from West Fargo Public Library, 5 from Fargo Public Library). Add the always-free spots on this page and you're set.
Are there free museums in Fargo-Moorhead?
Yes. Plains Art Museum, The Rourke Art Gallery + Museum and Hjemkomst Center, free Tuesday evenings. Plains and the Rourke are free all the time; the Hjemkomst is free Tuesday evenings, 5–8 PM.
What's free for kids in Fargo?
Library storytimes in Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead, Kid Quest at the Plains, and Moorhead's Saturday youth open gym. This week 13 of the free events are flagged all-ages or kids. Fargoish Jr. has more.
What's free to do outside in a Fargo winter?
Fargo Parks' nine cross-country ski and snowshoe trails are free of charge, and Edgewood's sledding hill lends sleds at no charge. Both depend on snow, so check the Fargo Parks pages first.
How do you decide something is free?
Only when the host says so: the word free in its own listing, a Free price on its own calendar, no registration fee on the library's calendar, or a program its own website says is free. Everything else stays off this page, even if it's probably free.
